About The Engineer

Hello, my name is Aaron Ersoy. I am a FullSail graduate of recording arts, class of 2006. Since my graduation I have done numerous internships as well gained the position of Assistant Engineer. I've had the pleasure of working with Ben Folds on the "Way Too Normal" LP, and my most coveted credentials, the Animal Collectve "Merriweather Post Pavilion & Fall Be Kind EP. Not mentioning the number of artists unsigned with loads of talent. During my time span in these major facilities I was exposed to producer/engineers such as: Ben H. Allen, Dennis Herring, John Mcbride, Joe Costa, Pete Thornton and a very laid back Australian by the name Csaba Petocz. (No worries mate)

In my years of professional audio, I feel that my past expeiences have made it clear on WHAT I DON'T want my studio to incorporate. My passion of recording extends out to artist development and artistic freedom without the element of negtive criticism. I maintain a positive work environment while pushing you, the artist, to higher levels of creativity and performance.

The one profound element that ruined my past experiences in studios was the prevalent egotism that plagued the producers and the included staff. Music to me is an uninhibated, primal experience that  speaks louder than the roar of a lion. I treat sessions like a family reunion, while keeping it on task. Why? Because music brings people together.  It breaks language barriers and creates lifelong memories. Also, I've never heard a musician ask another musician, "hey you want to record some music and get into a petty fight about why I think my guitar licks are better than yours?" No.  Rather they choose to "jam" because they are searching for a musical epiphany that will create shockwaves the whole world can feel. The ego has no place here at A Creative State of Mind, only creative works of genius that take on a life of their own and inspire generations to come.

That's why I am in music. Creating legendary music that will stand the test of time, influence emotion into the listener, creating life long memories of "Dude I totally remember when I first heard that song!" And we all have that album, that song. It's important. So come on in and join me on my creative journey. Lets be legends.
